Audio I can't recall to the same extent as I last tweaked my video. Usually with video at least everything looks better at first then settles a bit as the days go by. I know there are other enhancers, but I have not tried them. I've seen and heard changes for the better with all of these. Normal De-Oxit (use the 100% solution) is mainly a contact cleaner and not enhancer so it should be completely wiped off with a microfiber cloth.įor contact enhancers I'd use Stabilant 22 gel concentrate (I've bought it for around $80 off of eBay, much better than the diluted stuff, the bottle is also large and can treat your entire house multiple times over), De-Oxit Gold 100% (significantly thicker and a better enhancer than the normal solutions, about $20-25 gets you a decent sized little glass container), Furutech Nano-Liquid (doesn't last as long as the previous two, but is a more powerful enhancer, costs nearly $200 though and the bottle is the smallest of the lot), or Mad Scientist Audio's Graphene Enhancer (most potent enhancer, only just started using it in the past couple of months, so not sure about lasting effects, seems to form a shell around the contacts though, $50 gets you a 5 oz. The small ones re perfect for tube pins and sockets. I do use the Caig small and big foam applicators for the glue don’t fall apart the tip stays intact. I use it on AC all the time even though they don’t mention it no problems over 3 years and fantastic on Vacuum Tube pins after cleaned. NASA ,and a bunch of high tech, military companies use it. Stabilant -22 which has 25% Isopropyl in it, to help get into tight areas. made in Canada I have tried almost everythingĬaig is greasy and not in the same league the Furutech nano fluid is conductive and only lasts a year or two usesshsrk oil. and many high techĬompanies have been using this for Years. My uncle is a electronics designer and turned me on to this several years ago. generic electronic spray (5.69/ 9 oz can) from lowes. For carbon pots, a lubricating solution like F5 Faderlube is more appropriate. I should note however that while people spray Deoxit D5 around their amps like a water cannon, it's not really designed for carbon track potentiometers. much of what youre spraying out is just dust and goop. MG Chemicals - 401B NU-TROL is a good alternative to Deoxit D5. Once the Stabilant is applied it will protect conductors for a Minimum. id say, just get a can with a hose that will fit the pots youre trying to spray out. One of them is safe on plastic.the other will dissolve some plastic (speaking from experience) so test it first.I have been saying this for awhile but Stabilant-22 which is not only a great signal enhancer but once all connectors are cleanĩ9% Isopropyl alcohol is purest. I also have used the CRC contact cleaner, but be sure it is the QD (I think that's the right designation) formulation.our Home Depot has 2 different CRC contact cleaners. Personally, I use contact grease (100% silicone grease) after treating with the D100.DBars are still smooth and quiet after several years. They indicate that the D100 is used where maximum lubrication and minimum solvent is required. I found out they are the best but like you said they are very pricey. Decades ago I thought Deoxit Red and Gold were overhyped for battery contact terminals. They are a little fuzzy on which products provide more or less lubrication, however. Unfortunately the best price I can find for each are 13.82 (Red 5 fluid ounces) and 19.90 (Gold 5 fluid ounces) (both seller is Amazon itself). The Gold brochure does indicate that it is good for all non-ferrous and precious metal contacts. Arkay and Markthefixer have been exchanging notes and hopefully revisions will be made shortly. Some will use 100 Deoxit D-100S or Faderlube only on sliders or pots because of concerns of damage. I cannot be sure if the Gold productis beneficial or not to DB contacts.I have heard that these contacts are palladium I am sure one of the experts can verify this. If you are using Deoxit D5 on pots followup with Faderlube to replenish lubrication. This is the product instructions and description for all of the DeOxit products, it may answer your questions.
